Maryland’s Project to Increase Food Supplement Program (FSP) Customers’ Access to Farmers Markets

Maryland’s Department of Human Resources is pleased to announce it has received funds from the United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service to increase Food Supplement Program (FSP) customers’ access to fresh foods at farmers markets. Maryland’s funding will reimburse approved farmers markets to help cover the costs of purchasing or leasing wireless point of sale equipment. DHR received $67,941 towards this effort. Each approved farmers market can receive up to $2,200.00.
